When I was entering the directions, at first I was confused by "mix dough about 2. Let rise until 5 or 6." At first I thought it meant to mix dough for 2 minutes and let rise until..but then I realized she meant mix dough around 2 p.m., let rise until 5 p.m.

Ingredients:

1 cake yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
4 cups boiling water
2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
1 tablespoon salt
4 eggs, beaten
flour

Directions:

1. Soak yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water.

2. Boil 4 cups water and sugar for 5 minutes.

3. Add shortening to water and sugar mixture and cool to lukewarm.

4. Add salt, beaten eggs and yeast.

5. Add enough flour for soft dough.

6. Mix dough about 2.

7. Let rise until 5 or 6.

8. Knead down and let rise until 9 or 10.

9. Make into small buns.

10. Bake in morning.

11. Makes about 70 to 75 buns.
